A lecture about Timorous Beasties

Today I get some inspirations of the lecture the Spatial   Communication Presents Paul Simmons, Co-founder of Timorous Beasties. Paul Simmons is co-founder with Alistair McAuley of the design studio Timorous Beasties set up in 1990 after they met studying textile design at Glasgow School of Art. In today’s lecture he showed some of their works not only wallpaper and textiles but some special prints like their print some beautiful pattern on a stone or their print picture on a mood door, which are the incredible designs made our surrounding beautiful and fashionable.
This presentation and discussion of Timorous Beastie’s work is part of a series of events organised by the Spatial Communication Programme Group as a platform for the discussion of future developments in the field.

I real like the serious of cities scenery include London, Edinburgh and New York…! They took many pictures in those cities and then select some interesting images to drawing and print it in fabric. He also showed some historical textiles, people in the past began to draw story and landscape and print in fabric, which is interesting and really beautiful.

London is a magic place, I tell myself I need observe it clearly and learn different things from different areas, then I need to use a design way to keep recording it.
